Light maintenance to skilled work available. We are looking for an individual to be responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and routine maintenance on our customers fleet vehicles with the knowledge to perform routine maintenance on both gas and diesel engines.

Key Requirements

  • Possession of valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • 1 year of experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Lift heavy objects and walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Follow and promote our high standards of integrity, safety, cleanliness, and self-management.

Fleet Force technicians perform all maintenance on site at our customers’ place of business after hours. The technician’s shift is Monday through Friday, with both am and pm shifts available. Our technicians are provided with a custom mobile maintenance vehicle with air compressor and electric generator. Technicians are required to own and provide their own tools.

Typical Work schedule

Here’s a breakdown of our routine at Fleet Force:

  1. Work Scheduling: Expect 10 to 15 hours of billable work to be scheduled.
  2. Dispatcher Discussion: A discussion with the dispatcher will clarify tasks and address any questions you have. Special job notes will also be provided.
  3. Parts Preparation: Necessary parts will be prepared in your vehicle as your shift begins.
  4. Job Locations: You’ll primarily work from the same location, with the customer anticipating your arrival. Occasionally, you may meet the fleet manager on-site for assistance.
  5. Repair Order (RO): Upon opening our software, you’ll find the Repair Order (RO) detailing the vehicle number and service requirements.
  6. Documentation: Capture photos of completed work and upload them to the RO. Additionally, add tech notes before submitting the RO.
  7. Quality Review: Two managers will review your work for quality and accuracy.
  8. Fleet Dispatcher: Your tech notes will be communicated to the respective fleet manager via email or phone conversation by our staff.

At Fleet Force, we recognize the significance of having the right tools and equipment, and our vans are meticulously designed to meet those needs.

  • At Fleet Force, our technicians are compensated according to our billable pay structure, which operates as follows:

    Payment Schedule: Technicians receive their payments weekly, every Friday, covering the work completed in the previous week.

    Billing and Payment: Payment is made for each invoice generated and closed during the week. For example, if you finish a job in week one and it's closed, your payment for that work will be processed and distributed on the upcoming Friday.

    Overtime hours are available but not mandatory each week.

    This system ensures prompt and efficient payment for the services rendered. We value your hard work and dedication to the team.

To enhance our operational efficiency and offer you a seamless experience, you'll require a functional cell phone or tablet to input your information into our software. This enables you to manage tasks, update work details, and stay connected with our team effortlessly. We prioritize your convenience and strive to facilitate a smooth workflow for you.

Although we provide a range of tools for borrowing, we strongly recommend considering purchasing any tools you foresee needing regularly. Owning your tools offers convenience and ensures you have the necessary equipment on hand whenever required. We're committed to supporting you in your role, and having your tools readily available is crucial for that support.

We've designed our work schedule with your well-being in mind, aiming to support a healthy work-life balance. You'll find options for both morning and evening shifts, accommodating different preferences and lifestyles. Importantly, we prioritize your personal time and therefore do not mandate weekend shifts. Our main objective is to efficiently maintain our customers' fleet vehicles, ensuring they're prepared for the following workday. This arrangement empowers you to fully enjoy your weekends and nurture your personal life, free from weekend work obligations.

At Fleet Force, our technicians engage in diverse work environments. While some tasks are indoors, others may require outdoor work, potentially exposing you to the elements. We strive to assign indoor work during inclement weather, yet there's no absolute guarantee, given the nature of fleet maintenance and repair. Your adaptability and expertise are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' fleet vehicles, regardless of the environment.

  • Please note that personal time and holidays become eligible for pay after your initial 90 days. Holiday benefits are limited to 8 hours of paid time per day. Furthermore, after completing your first year with the company, you will start accruing 40 hours of vacation time annually.
